::Words Child Development Program::
"Encourage & Cultivate Children to Develop Independence"
Three types of programs catering for children at different ages are offered under Words' Child Development Program, namely, Creche Program, Elementary Program and the GRS program.
Creche Program (18 to 36 months old)
The structure of daily lessons include basic Phonetics, Music & Movement, Fine Motor Skills, Hand-Eye Coordination, Numbers, Circle Time, Story-telling Time, Practical Life, and Sensorial. Apart from that, outdoor activities and Art & Craft activities are also conducted on a once a week basis. All of these are to ensure that your child receives an all round education, through academic worksheets as well as play.
Elementary program (3 to 4 years old)
The Elementary Program aims to introduce a more structured curriculum plan which encourages independence, improves movements co-ordination, refines the child's sensation and perception of in which they live in, as well as enhances the cognitive development of your child espeacially their concentration span.
Daily lessons conducted focuses mainly on English, Bahasa Melayu, Simple Mathematics and Science, Moral, and Story-telling Time. Apart from that, Mandarin classes are also offered to students in classes conducted twice weekly. As the student from the Elementary Program will eventually move on to the GRS Program, weekly lessons in Moral, Science, Music & Movement, Art & Craft and outdoor activities are also conducted so as to allow early preparation and a smooth transition into primary one in the near future.
GRS Program (5 to 6 years old)
The lesson structure in the GRS Program is in actual fact very much similar to the structure of the Elementary Program except that much more emphasis is placed upon the three main Languages: Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin. Apart from that, students in this program work independently with guidance.
This program aims to prepare the child for Primary One regardless if the child is entering a local school (SK and SJK) or an international school.
*All classes are conducted in small groups for all the programs. Apart from all the activities listed above, yearly outings and concert comprising of students and teachers from all four programs as well as parents are also held.
